Rolls Royce’s new model, the EX200/Ghost, will be out later this year, we hear. It’s being referred to as the “baby Rolls,” our friends in our sister publication, Overdrive, tell us. Not because its dinky (it will have more space inside than the BMW 7 series vehicles do, and will have a powerful V-12 engine), but because it is smaller than previous vehicles from the marque.

It will be as luxurious as its bigger stable-mates, but a tad smaller and cheaper. A Rolls Royce for the Recession? Heh. Whoda thunk? Before you fellas who “borrowed” this magazine from the CEO’s office go running off to get your cheque books, let us quickly tell you that the word “cheaper” is a relative term. Overdrive expects it to cost around Rs. 2 crore on the road in India. Which means that all its customers will be Forbes India subscribers. Damn. We should have got them to advertise with us!
