Bopanna won the Dubai Tennis Championship and finished runner up in Sydney and Nice with doubles partner Pakistan's Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi. But 2014 was a disappointing year for the player, who slipped to 30th in the world doubles rankings from a career high of third in July last year. For 2015, though, he can hope to take inspiration from Roger Federer, Pete Sampras and Ana Ivanovic, his colleagues in India Aces, the outfit he is playing for in the International Premier Tennis League.
