Mofatraj Munot founded Kalpataru Constructions in 1969 and built it into one of Mumbai's leading property developers, helped by son Parag, a Carnegie Mellon grad. It has a landbank of 25 million sq ft, mostly in Mumbai and Pune, though lately it is spreading to cities such as Jaipur, Hyderabad and Chennai. Showpiece projects currently being built include a 9.5 million sq ft township in suburban Mumbai and a complex of luxury villas called Amoda Reserve at a popular hill resort.
