The winners of the Pulitzer Prize 2022 were announced Monday, May 9. The Pulitzer Prize was established in 1917, by the provisions in the will of Joseph Pulitzer, a Hungarian-American journalist. There are 22 Pulitzer categories, and the awards are given to honor extraordinary work in journalism and the arts. In the category of 'feature photography', four photographers, Adnan Abidi, Sanna Irshad Mattoo, Amit Dave and the late Danish Siddiqui of Reuters India were declared winners, for their extensive reportage on Covid-19 outbreak in India
