Companies like Wipro have been investing to build a portfolio of eco-friendly LED light products and they were proven right by Mukherjee today. The FM announced cutting excise duty on LED lights from eight to four percent and bringing it on par with CFL. On a less happier note, the coal industry received with shock the news of clean energy cess of Rs.50 per tonne on imported and Indian coal.
