The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the face of business and technology as we know it. Companies had to quickly pivot strategies to not only ensure smooth flow of business but also keep in mind the health guidelines issued by the government to keep its employees safe, having to make decisions without sufficient data at times.
With the increased disruption and digital adoption business ecosystems are witnessing an explosion of data. The Covid-19 pandemic has fast-tracked the demand for IT infrastructure because of increased adoption of cloud services and digital transformation. With more and more consumers and businesses using DC and cloud services, the demand for hyper scalable data centers is booming.
With increase in consumers requirements, the infrastructure backbone of data centers needs to be strengthened. Mobile banking will see even wider adoption as mobile penetration grows. Messaging services, chatbots and other interactive tools will play larger roles in supporting employees and customers. AI will detect unauthorised attempts like frauds and enable new frontiers for cyber-security. Blockchain & DLTs will secure document transfers. By leveraging predictive analytics, banks can develop sound marketing strategies to reach out to customers. And the list will continue to grow and evolve. However, to create this leverage for the future, the BFSI segment will still need to do a lot more to be truly digital to the core and function like a technology-enabled services organisation, backed by a solid data centre strategy and roadmap.
In light of this, we propose a webinar on Data Centres in BFSI. We will put a spotlight on the role of data centres in enabling businesses in the BFSI sector to transform digitally.
