Knight Frank's 2017 Prime Global Citizen Index report lists the most expensive cities to buy luxury properties from 41 global cities. It also takes you through the rate of increase in prices in a 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month period. The Prime Global Citizen Index saw a growth of 4.4% in the year-ended June 2017. Shanghai: Another commercially important Chinese city-Shanghai-also found a place on the report. The cost of luxury properties in Shanghai grew 19.7% in the year-ended June 2017. However, the rate of price rise has fallen in comparison to the last quarter, the report said.
