An increasing number of Indians are sipping on wine. Or maybe the same lot of us are just guzzling more of it. Either way, wine sales have risen 217 percent in 2010 over sales in 2009 according to Myles Mayall, wine advisor to The Wine Society of India. (In previous years, growth in sales has been about 25 percent a year, with 2008-09 seeing a dip, thanks to the R-Word.)

I'd like to point out a few problems with your article: first, your headline claiming 217% growth is absolute poppycock. Have you bothered to do any check-up on the figures? Second, we don't "brag" about any share. You can do the research yourself and come to your own conclusion. Please do your readers a favour by putting a little more effort and research into your articles. Your article does not live up to the reputation of Forbes. Rajeev Samant Sula
