Time on the table

The new Panerai Table Clock is a perfect sphere (65 mm in diameter) of transparent mineral glass, an enclosed dial, and a mechanical movement with a power reserve of eight days. It is available in two versions, identical except for the graphics and structure of the dial. The movement is the Manufacture P5000 calibre and hand-wound; its inspiration is historical in that it is derived from the Angelus movements of some vintage Panerai watches.

New, and improved

Horex, the makers of the VR6, are back at it again. The new owners, 3C Carbon, displayed an upgraded model at the IAA show in Frankfurt. The bike—33 will be made—gets a new all-carbon subframe in addition to the top-flight Ohlins and Brembo aggregates. Prices for the new VR6 are expected to be significantly higher; the old design was already billed as super expensive. The resurrection is not easy in the competitive market, but Horex, it appears, is ready to fight its way back into business.
