Skill development in India for Emerging Tech
India's Web3 ecosystem is experiencing significant growth, with numerous start-ups raising substantial funding. While metros have been the primary focus, cities like Jaipur in Rajasthan are emerging as prominent Web3 hubs. The Rajasthan government is actively taking initiatives to promote the development of the Web3 ecosystem in the state. For instance, Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has approved in February 2023 the establishment of the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for IT Development and E-Governance in Jaipur, with a financial allocation of Rs 147.55 crore. This center aims to strengthen e-governance, cyber security, and data security by fostering a digital ecosystem for blockchain, cyber security, IFMS, and data security. By providing necessary tools, software, and platforms, the center will support academic, industrial, government, and start-up ecosystems.
Additionally, it will enhance the skills and expertise required for the use of blockchain technology and contribute to controlling cyber crimes in the state. These proactive initiatives by the Rajasthan government demonstrate their commitment to nurturing the Web3 ecosystem in smaller cities, contributing to India's overall growth and development in the digital landscape.
What must be done additionally to expedite this growth? What kind of resources could bolster these emerging ecosystems?
