$5 Trillion Dollar Economy : Is Web3 India Next Big Thing ?

India has been a hotbed for tech innovation for decades. Given the benefit of a dynamic young population – with more than half of the country’s population below the age of 25, coupled with flagship programmes such as Digital India, Make in India, Startup India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, etc., India will continue to build its tech capability and emerge as a leading global player in the Web3 market, as per the NASSCOM report. Web3 investments in the country grew 37 times from the start of 2020 to Q1 2022, and $1.1 trillion in Web3 economic value is projected to be added to India’s GDP by 2032.

India can use blockchain to strengthen agriculture, healthcare, PDS, and education, the foundational pillars of the Indian economy, and fulfil its vision of being a $5 Trillion economy.
