Address

A place where crypto can be sent to and from, in the form of a string of letters and numbers.

All-Time-High (ATH)

The highest point (in price, in market capitalization) that a crypto has been in history.

Digital Asset Ecosystem

Digital asset ecosystem is a term that defines everything involved in the crypto space. From NFTs to futures, this terms sums up all the facilities offered and elements associated with the crypto.

Bitcoin ATM (BTM)

An automated teller machine (ATM or cashpoint) that allows the user to buy and sell Bitcoin.

CeDeFi

CeDeFi, or centralized decentralized finance, combines traditional centralized financial services with decentralized applications, merging conventional regulatory policies with modern financial systems.

Ether

The form of payment used in the operation of the distribution application platform, Ethereum.

Gas

A term used on the Ethereum platform that refers to a unit of measuring the computational effort of conducting transactions or smart contracts, or launch DApps in the Ethereum network.

Initial Coin Offering (ICO)

Short for Initial Coin Offering, an ICO is a type of crowdfunding, or crowdsale, using crypto as a means of raising capital for early-stage companies.

Ledger

A record of financial transactions that cannot be changed, only appended with new transactions.

Hardware wallet

A hardware wallet is a wallet for crypto that usually resemble a USB stick.

Know Your Customer (KYC)

Short for Know Your Customer, these are checks that crypto exchanges and trading platforms must complete to verify the identity of their customers.

Liquidity

How easily a crypto can be bought and sold without impacting the overall market price.
