Jacqueline Fernandez: A mixed year

Jacqueline Fernandez (32) struck gold at the box office with Judwaa 2, which was 2017’s third-highest Bollywood grosser with collections of ₹138 crore. In the remake of the 1997 Salman Khan-starrer, she  played her character with aplomb, and charmed the audience with her comic timing. The success saw her being flooded with endorsement offers. Her other release, A Gentleman: Sundar, Susheel, Risky,
got a mixed box office response, although Fernandez pulled off daring stunts in the film. She featured in Chandran Rutnam’s English crime-thriller According to Matthew. Her 2018 lineup includes Drive and Race 3.
