Pharma magnate who founded Alkem Laboratories more than 4 decades ago took the company public last December. Shares of the generics maker are up more than 50% since the IPO. For the year to March 2016 Alkem reported a 72% jump in net earnings to $100 million on revenue of $745 million. Cousin Basudeo Narain Singh runs Alkem as its executive chairman.
