Morning walkers, the women among them armoured in sarees, sneakers and mufflers, have yet to stride forth. Even stray dogs are fast asleep. A bird cheeps.

I totally have to agree with Geetha's Comments...... There has been a sayin why music only for the Ears and not for the Thought!!! Well Music as far as i am concerned as a layman is a kind which soothes once mind heart and soul...And if u want to get that kind of feeling be there in Madras for that best experience in your lifetime!!!!
on Dec 16, 2009If music be the food of love, play on! Great article. Thank you! Yes, December is the best month to be around in Chennai! The city comes alive just like how Kolkata does during the time of Durga Puja. I remember reading somewhere: "Music thrills, comforts, bonds and heals at every point in one's life and is like the all encompassing hug that one needs constantly for survival." Very true. And Chennaites like me really look forward to the smorgasbord of options that is at our disposal during the 'Season' which happens in the highly spiritual and divine month of Margazhi. Thanks and regards, Geetha
