In exchange, Prime Minister Modi has committed to halting Russian oil imports and purchasing $500 billion in American energy and technology. The move grants Indian exporters a significant competitive edge over regional rivals like China (37%), Vietnam (20%), and Bangladesh (20%). Only South Korea and Japan sit at a lower rate of 15%.
