TECHLamborghini Asterion LPI 910The brand new Lamborghini Asterion LPI 910 hypercar concept has a traditional combustion engine—the iconic 5.2-litre V10 lifted from the Huracan—combined with three electric motors producing a total of 300PS, which takes total output to 910PS. Although Lamborghini is mum, we understand that it is an all-wheel drive set up with the front wheels being powered by the electric motors. For a car with over 900PS, Lamborghini is being quite conservative with their claimed 0-100 kmph time of 3 seconds and top speed of 320 kmph. But, what’s truly remarkable though is the claimed maximum possible fuel efficiency of 24.4 kmpl. Even CO2 emissions fall below the magic 100g/km mark. Wind TreeDesigned by Jerome Michaud-Lariviere, this is what a wind-harnessing system can look like. Meant to be adopted in urban areas, the steel structure comprises 72 micro-turbines that spin along a vertical axis, and can harness slow winds blowing in any direction. Conventional wind turbines can harness only strong winds, and need vast areas of land to be set up in. Each tree can generate up to 3.1 kW.

Samsung Bend TabletDo not confuse this with the Lenovo Yoga. In the Samsung Bend, both the screen and body of the tablet actually bend, providing the user with multiple ways in which to use the touchscreen display. The lower part of the screen (when held vertically) holds the heavier components, and can be bent backwards to form a stand. In this position, the screen can be detached from the bent part of the body, forming a transparent keyboard. When you unbend the tablet, you get content displayed from edge to edge.

Cicret BraceletAt a glance, this looks like the many silicon bracelets people wear. But what this does is transform the skin of your arm or palm into an external touchscreen for your smartphone or tablet via a small projector. So, you can read email and text messages, use apps… in short, use it like your usual mobile device. It is still work in progress, with the developers (cicret.com) raising funds for its manufacture.
