Thousands of migrant workers are leaving cities to walk thousands of kilometres to their home towns, after the government declared a nationwide lockdown to contain the spread of the coronavirus. This has resulted in deaths from starvation and exhaustion, and caused crowds at train stations and bus stands as labourers try to find transport
