Karekar’s Mumbai studio LOCOPOPO has an impressive client roster with names like The Taj Group, Rolling Stone, Conde Nast and Good Homes, calling on him. He also likes to convert his work into objects of everyday use like bags, mugs and limited edition prints and badges; these are supplied to select lifestyle stores. He won the 2013 Kyoorius award for packaging design and design craft–illustration for Varnam, a company that manufactures lac turnery toys.
