Ford’s Indian subsidiary unveiled a new Fiesta and the Figo ‘compact sedan’ concept at the Auto Expo on Wednesday. The company adopted a simple formula of adding new features to their best-selling cars without compromising on a design that works well.
The new Ford Fiesta comes with smart technology like Ford SYNC with Applink that allows the driver to focus on driving while controlling several key functions of his smartphone through voice commands.
Its appearance has got an impressive makeover with a trapezoidal front grille– a signature of Ford’s global family– bracketed by laser-cut headlamps. “The 2014 Ford Fiesta takes our strongest global nameplate to the next level,” Ford India’s Executive Director, Marketing and Sales, Vinay Piparsania said.
Ford also introduced the revamped version of the Ford Figo, a best-seller in India for several years, with better fuel economy and more room.
