Suresh Raina once again proved his worth to Chennai Super Kings, finishing IPL 2014 as the tournament's fifth highest run scorer. He produced a sublime 87 off 25 balls as CSK went down in the semifinal. But it was in the CLT20 that he really stood out, emerging as the top-scorer and man of the series; his team won the title, thanks to his century in the final. However, his form for India was not as good. His average for the year was less than his career averages in both ODIs and T20s.
