Restaurant Week India Opens on September 23
Come September, and it’s time to tuck into delectable dishes from some of the country’s best restaurants, at prices that don’t leave us reeling. The seventh edition of Restaurant Week India will open across Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai on September 23, and continue for the next 10 days.
The concept of Restaurant Week was born in New York, in 1992, and is now held in various cities in America, Europe, South America and South East Asia. In India, the idea behind the biannual event is to make high-end restaurants more accessible to a wider audience by offering a three-course set menu at a set—and highly reduced—price per person.
Going by past numbers—the last edition of the event in April 2013 saw 72 restaurants participating, attracting more than 10,300 customers in three cities—this edition holds much promise.
Reservations begin online from September 18.
