Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna Version 2.0

Jairam Ramesh's rural development ministry has got a substantial boost in the budget allocation. The ministry will have 80,194 cr in FY14 as against 55,000 cr in FY13. This is despite a decline of 7000 cr in MGNREGA, its most high-profile scheme. The key gainer is the rural roads program, the PMGSY. Version two of this program is now launched for states that have already achieved the version one targets.
