The Symphony Orchestra of India will perform in Mumbai

Come September, book your seats to experience some of the best in Western classical music. The 11th Celebrity Concert Season of the Symphony Orchestra of India (SOI) is in Mumbai and will perform at the Tata Theatre and Jamshed Bhaba Theatre. The SOI is the country’s first fully professional symphony orchestra and has two seasons — in September and February.

There are four evenings — September 9, 14, 18 and 24 — you can choose from. September 9 will see Tamas Vasary on the piano. He will also conduct the next evening’s programme. The following two performances will have Evgeny Bushkov as conductor. Bookings have already opened at the NCPA and tickets are expected to last till a week before the season begins.
