The London-listed energy outfit Indus Gas, which he founded and chairs, saw its shares more than halve as New Delhi stalled a much-awaited increase in domestic natural gas prices. The company, in which he owns a 64 percent stake, has rights to vast natural gas blocks in Rajasthan and Gujarat. The LSE and Cambridge grad built his energy empire after inheriting his family's shoe business.
