One of the co-founders of Infosys, who was executive vice-chairman until June, will be stepping down from the board in October after 33 years at the company. An active philanthropist, he donated $35 million to the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore for setting up a centre for brain research, followed by a $1.8 million-donation to the US's Carnegie Mellon University to fund its research partnership with the IISc.
