Thumbs Up!
When Douglas Adams died so young in 2001, we thought that was also the end of cult Hitchhiker series. There was one posthumous release. Salmon of Doubt, which brought together various unpublished short pieces, including an unfinished novel. Adams was once reported to have said, “I suspect at some point in the future I will write a sixth Hitchhiker book… I would love to finish Hitchhiker on a slightly more upbeat note. Five seems to be a wrong kind of number, six is a better kind of number.” Alas, unlike with Agatha Christie, no more unpublished Adams manuscripts have surfaced.
But his widow, Jane Belson, has approved a sixth book, And Another Thing…, by the author of the best-selling Artemis Fowl series, Eoin Colfer. It is expected in hardback in October.
