The roar of a Formula 1 engine makes you want to zoom down the highway at blinding speeds. Well, you can’t do that on Indian roads but you can get a customised engine from the makers of F1 engines.

Cosworth, a British company that will supply engines to four F1 teams from 2010, launched its India operations last month in Pune. “We intend to offer step by step solutions to the enthusiast interested in increasing performance of his vehicle; with upgrade kits. For the hard core enthusiasts say we can offer a Duratech 2.0 Litre engine delivering 205 BHP 205 to 280 bhp.

These engines will be available on an order basis,” says Kasad Kayzad, director at Cosworth India.
