Trees, inspite of us
Spontaneous protests have halted, temporarily, the indiscriminate felling of mature trees to clear ground for new government quarters in New Delhi, but not before an unprecedented 16,500 trees have been laid down. Let’s face it, trees or environment aren't a priority in rapidly urbanising cities like ours, where regard for human life is low. We need reminding that trees - and its vibrant ecosystem of microbes, insects, birds and animals - are vital to our lives. Here’s a silent tribute to these living breathing beings that cant speak our language when harmed
