As India pushes for greater global trade, its MSME sector is losing ground on the export front
MSMEs are still key to India’s economy, but their export share has been shrinking steadily. From nearly 50 percent in 2020 to 43.6 percent in 2023–24, the decline highlights that India’s MSMEs are holding their own at home, but losing ground abroad.
