Aamir Khan (52) has lived up to his reputation of churning out quality cinema while ruling the box office. His 2016 film
Dangal became Bollywood’s highest grosser minting
₹540 crore in domestic collections alone. According to
Forbes, the biopic of former wrestling coach Mahavir Singh Phogat is the first Indian movie to earn
₹2,000 crore worldwide. Khan’s previous film
PK (2014) was the first to enter the
₹300-crore club. He continued his golden run with another acclaimed film,
Secret Superstar, which released in October 2017. Khan not only had an extended cameo that was lauded, but also produced the film, which traced the journey of a schoolgirl who aspires to become a singer. It had earned over
₹50 crore at the box office by October-end.
