The Mercedes-AMG GT S features a 4-litre, bi-turbo V8 engine that puts out 510 PS of power and 640 Nm of torque. This is the same engine from the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S but mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission instead of the sedan’s torque convertor. The GT S has a claimed 0-100 kmph speed of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 310 kmph. Features include launch control, AMG performance seats, AMG Ride Control suspension and an electronic rear differential.

Mazda’s RX-Vision is a rear-wheel drive concept powered by the next-generation SkyActiv-R rotary engine that operates through the rotational motion of triangular rotors—as opposed to reciprocating pistons in regular engines. Mazda is the only company to successfully mass-produce cars with a rotary engine and almost all of them are icons. Mazda is also the only manufacturer to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans with a rotary-powered race car.

Ducati has unveiled the XDiavel and XDiavel S. The ‘X’ in the names stands for the combination of two different riding experiences in one bike—“low speed excitement typical of a cruiser, and the adrenaline rush of sports riding”. The Testastretta engine now displaces 1,262 cc, thanks to a longer stroke and makes 156 PS of power and 128.9 Nm of torque. The bikes now get feet-forward riding positions, unlike the earlier Diavel, and are aimed at attracting the huge cruiser market in America. Other electronic tidbits like ride-by-wire, riding modes and traction control remain while launch control has been added.

Bearing the Hallmark of Geneva, these two new creations, realised in 12 models each, combine the technical excellence of Caliber 2460 G4 with the beauty of artistic crafts.
