Euromonitor International has released its Top City Destinations Ranking, which selects the top 100 cities in the world based in terms of international tourist arrivals in 2015
Ranked at Number 9, New York City (US) saw 12.3 million tourist arrivals, up 0.6 percent over 2014

Rank 8: Istanbul (Turkey) Always a popular tourist destination, the Turkish city of Istanbul saw a 4.8 percent rise in international travelers visiting the city. More than 12.41 million people visited Istanbul, which has magnificent attractions such as the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and Blue Mosque, to name a few.

Rank 7: Dubai (UAE) Middle East’s tourism magnet, Dubai, witnessed 14.26 million in 2015, up 8 percent from 2014. "Dubai is the top performer in the region, ranking seventh and seeing continued steady growth in 2015 with 8% increase in inbound arrivals. The city is benefiting from years of extensive investment in state-of-the-art and world-leading infrastructure, luxury shopping, hotels and entertainment," according to the Euromonitor International report.

Rank 6: Macau Following the crackdown by Chinese authorities on corruption and illegal activity on the gambling tables in the “Las Vegas of the East”, Macau registered a drop of 1.8 percent in international visitors to the city. Around 14.3 million people visited Macau in 2015.
