The Mozart of Madras started the year on a sweet note with 'Patakha Gudi' from Imtiaz Ali's Highway soaring high on the music charts, and charming audiences and critics alike. Next up was the Rajinikanth-starrer Kochadaiiyaan, the soundtrack of which released in three languages and required Rahman to bring in 150 orchestras for the recording. The soundtrack of the Helen Mirren-starrer The Hundred-Foot Journey was scored by him as well.
