OK Jaanu, Badrinath Ki Dulhania and
Ittefaq—in 2017. While the first sank without a trace at the box office, the other two were well-received. But Johar laughed all the way to the bank by being distributor to the Hindi version of
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which earned ₹511.30 crore at the box office, making it the most successful movie of 2017. He has kick-started the shooting of his next directorial, a segment for
Bombay Talkies 2, which stars
Masaan actor Vicky Kaushal. Last year, too, Johar hosted his popular talk show
Koffee With Karan on which the who’s who of the film industry made an appearance. He has now turned radio jockey, playing the role of a love guru for a radio programme called
Calling Karan.
