The Bangalore property magnate set up Embassy Property Developments in 1993 after breaking away from his father's construction business. He went on to build IT parks and office towers, with tenants like IBM, Mercedes-Benz, Yahoo and Fidelity. Backers include Blackstone Group's Indian arm, which has invested $480 million in four tech parks. HDFC's property fund has invested $580 million to develop two integrated townships, both in Bangalore.
