After a three-year decline, her OP Jindal Group, which she chairs, has revived, mostly due to Mumbai-based son Sajjan, whose JSW Steel's shares are up. He has bid for bankrupt Italian steelmaker Lucchini and is also vying with Lakshmi Mittal (ranked 5) to buy Ilva, Italy's largest steel plant. Back home, he picked up debt-laden Welspun Maxsteel from former rich-lister Bal Krishna Goenka for $165 million. Shares of his younger brother Naveen's Jindal Steel & Power took a hit on a recent Supreme Court ruling recommending cancelling all allocations of coal mines from 1993.
