Are leadership qualities innate or acquired?
The above is a question that has obsessed many leadership scholars over the years and is often posed by executives in development programs. Here’s our response – it’s a bad question, which begets bad answers.

I blieve leaders are made...but need good practical examples...
on Feb 28, 2013Mostly made. See Hasborough toys in USA, so New Star.., Leadership is that you imbibe the quality you want your people to do and certainly not by fiat. Leader is a good learner of human behavior at work, so also he should be a good teacher to ensure every one does that kind of things. If you do, you are a good leader. So trait may have to be in you to learn may be by birth but honing takes place while making. If you say they are born only, you cannot have so many, so you have to make them but how? By balanced human resource development, after all you cannot manufacture a human like robot!
