Rajan Nanda (76) passed away after a brief illness in Gurugram. The son of HP Nanda, who migrated from Lahore (modern day Pakistan) to New Delhi during partition, Rajan Nanda was instrumental in helping his father build a vast business empire with interests in tractors, hospitals, motorcycles and railway equipments. He had been the chairman of Escorts since 1994.
