Described by Chinese President Xi Jinping as ‘The Project of the Century’, the grand plan of the Belt and Road Initiative-also known as One Belt One Road-is fueled by the enormous Chinese capital and building infrastructure. China is using its economic diplomacy to build roads, railways, ports, bridges, industrial corridors, and gas and power lines that will integrate all of Asia, and also cement its position as the undisputed power of Asia. It's a grand plan that-like the mighty kingdoms of Yore-would soar past a tenure or a lifetime, Xi’s or his party’s. The plan could secure generations and alter the course of many nations.
