Cofounder and former chief executive of Infosys, who ran unsuccessfully for the 2014 federal elections, has quit politics and is devoting himself to philanthropy and backing startups. His EkStep, an education-focused nonprofit, has developed a mobile phonebased platform to address learning problems. Nilekani's second book, Rebooting India: Realizing a Billion Aspirations, is due to be published in November.
