Infosys cofounder retired last year after 33 years with the company. Along with fellow Infosys cofounder, S.D. Shibulal, he has set up Axilor Ventures, a business incubator to back startups. Has invested in 10 companies so far, including Uniphore Software Systems, a speech recognition solutions firm. Active philanthropist has donated $50 million to various institutions, including Carnegie Mellon University, for clinical research on aging and the brain. Sits on the board of IIT, Madras, his alma mater.
