Alfa Giulia

After just two years of development, Alfa Romeo’s 3-series fighter, the Giulia, is here. It will be available with a choice of engines but the most exciting of the lot is the Giulia Quadrifoglio, which gets a Ferrari-developed twin turbo 3.0-litre V6 engine. Alfa claims a 0-100 kmph time of just 3.9 seconds and a high power-to-weight ratio, thanks to carbon-fibre in the prop shaft, bonnet, roof and seat frames, as well as lots of aluminium. Rear wheel drive and a 50:50 weight balance should make for a fantastic driving experience.

Dan D’Agostino Amplifier

In a long career at the cutting edge of audio engineering, Daniel D’Agostino, who founded his Arizona-based namesake company in 2009, has developed a reputation for no-compromise products that aim to wow high-end audiences. So more than a few ears perked up when D’Agostino announced in 2014 that he would add an integrated amplifier to his highly regarded Momentum line, a move that to some purists is the audio equivalent of selling pre-combined peanut butter and jelly in a jar.
