Stylish picks for every purpose JLC Master Ultra Thin Squelette
Price:
Rs 37,50,000
Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Master Ultra Thin Squelette collection comprises four watches that embody the inventiveness and alliance of the 180 fine skills safeguarded by JLC. Ultra-thin horology has been a long-standing tradition at the watchmaker’s since 1907, and they have now chosen to associate it with other spheres of excellence—skeleton working, engraving, enamelling and gem-setting. The watch has a mechanical, manually-wound movement with Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 849ASQ, a 33-hour power reserve, and is available in pink and white gold, with options of brilliant-cut diamonds.

Alfa Giulia
Price:
To be announced
After just two years of development, Alfa Romeo’s 3-series fighter, the Giulia, is here. It will be available with a choice of engines but the most exciting of the lot is the Giulia Quadrifoglio, which gets a Ferrari-developed twin turbo 3.0-litre V6 engine. Alfa claims a 0-100 kmph time of just 3.9 seconds and a high power-to-weight ratio, thanks to carbon-fibre in the prop shaft, bonnet, roof and seat frames, as well as lots of aluminium. Rear wheel drive and a 50:50 weight balance should make for a fantastic driving experience.

Dan D’Agostino Amplifier
Price:
$48,000
In a long career at the cutting edge of audio engineering, Daniel D’Agostino, who founded his Arizona-based namesake company in 2009, has developed a reputation for no-compromise products that aim to wow high-end audiences. So more than a few ears perked up when D’Agostino announced in 2014 that he would add an integrated amplifier to his highly regarded Momentum line, a move that to some purists is the audio equivalent of selling pre-combined peanut butter and jelly in a jar. The Momentum Integrated Amplifier comes in two components: The brawny power supply is kept caged in a solid aluminium block to prevent interference with the audio circuitry on top. Employing the same circuit boards and many components from the acclaimed (and far pricier) Momentum amp and preamp separates, the MLife amplifier has blown D’Agostino fans away. The clean-lined design elevates it to the most striking sculptural piece in your living room, with a lighted-dial face and volume bezel meant to reference Swiss tourbillon watches and classic Bugatti dashboard components.

This sculptural chaise, inspired by the figure of a voluptuous woman, has been made with the unique soaked-layering technique to complete its three dimensional surfaces. The Plump Chaise’s (below) ergonomically designed curvaceous form makes it very comfortable for two and has a discreet push-button drawer.

Inspired by a rowing boat, the Bowloader (left) is a two-way seating system built using ancient Chinese ship-building techniques. Its exclusive form makes it both ergonomic and sculptural.
