Knight Frank's 2017 Prime Global Citizen Index report lists the most expensive cities to buy luxury properties from 41 global cities. It also takes you through the rate of increase in prices in a 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month period. The Prime Global Citizen Index saw a growth of 4.4% in the year-ended June 2017. Melbourne: Number 10 on the list is the second-most populated city in Australia-Melbourne. The city saw its luxury properties getting dearer by 9.1% in the June-ended year. In the March - June 2017 period, luxury property prices in Melbourne grew 3.3% and 4.8% in the December - June 2017 period.
