His run-of-the-mill career got a boost last year with Bol Bachchan. The film was very successful, but much of the credit is shared by the commercially bankable team that includes Rohit Shetty (director) and Ajay Devgn (leading actor). Bachchan's other film as leading man, Players, a remake of The Italian Job, bombed at the box office just as many of his movies in the past five years. The success of Dhoom 3-the movie series that has richly rewarded Bachchan in his role of a dogged cop-is of great importance to Junior B's career.
