Anand claimed his fifth Chess World Championship by defeating Israel's Boris Gelfand in Moscow in May 2012. He won the eighth game of the final in just 17 moves-the shortest ever in World Championship history. The title was his fourth in a row and cemented his position as the world's undisputed chess master.
