Roy ruled the TV screens for a decade before ceding the No. 1 spot to Ram Kapoor (Rank 89). He gave several hits such as Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. His success as a TV star has landed him many acting roles in films. His portrayal of a disturbed and abusive father in Udaan, loosely based on the real life of producer Anurag Kashyap, earned him the Best Supporting Actor award at the 56th Filmfare Awards. Roy will be seen this year in Midnight's Children, Shootout at Wadala and Naam Hai Boss.
