After 19 years in the industry and a range of versatile roles to her credit, she was honoured with the Padma Shri in 2011. In 2010 she and Shah Rukh Khan became the first Indian actors to be invited by NASDAQ to open the US stock exchange. In 2012, Kajol lent her voice to an animated character in Makkhi and featured in a cameo in Student of the Year. In 2013, she will appear in a cameo in Chennai Express, and will do a voice-over in the animation Koochie Koochie Hota Hai.
Fast Facts : Along with aunt Nutan, she holds the honour of winning the most number (five) of Filmfare Best Actress awards. Her performance in Gupt made her the first woman to be nominated in and win the Filmfare award for Best Performance in a Negative Role.
